
Dr. Eileen McGinty was born and raised in northern Ohio. At the age of 14 she began working as a dental assistant. She had to wait until she was 18 to take the exam that certified her as an ''Advanced Dental Personnal''. This certification allowed Dr. McGinty to place amalgam fillings and take radiographs. She soon returned to school to receive a degree in Dental Hygiene from Ohio State University in 1981. After working as a dental hygienist for 11 years, Dr. McGinty relocated to Denver to continue her dental education. In 1992, she graduated from the University of Colorado School of Dentistry. Continuing education for professional and personal growth is a major focus for Dr. McGinty and her team. Since her graduation from dental school she has completed a two-year study of TMJ Dysfunction and Occlusion. She has attended multiple courses at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies on cosmetic dentistry. Dr. McGinty has also completed two fellowships on implant dentistry from 3i and Nobel Biocare. Dr. McGinty is a member of the Colorado Prosthodontics Society, American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, University of Colorado Alumni Assocation, and numerous study clubs. She is also a participating dentist in KIND (Kids In Need Of Dentistry), and Colorado Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped. Dr. McGinty lives in Lakewood and had two grown children, Jennifer and Brandon. She enjoys rollerblading, skiing, traveling, and all other outdoor activities that come along with Colorado.
